Nifty
around 12,150, Sensex up 100 pts; Axis, RBL Bank in focus 
Among sectors, infra, IT, bank and
energy are trading higher, while selling seen in the FMCG and pharma stocks.
Market
Opens: It is a flat start for the Indian indices on
January 23 with Nifty around 12,100.
At 09:16 hrs IST, the Sensex is down
4.15 points or 0.01% at 41111.23, and the Nifty down 9.10 points or 0.08% at
12097.80.
Axis Bank, L&T, IOC, BPCL, Maruti
Suzuki, TCS and HCL Tech are among major gainers on the Indices, while losers
are ICICI Bank, Cipla, Zee Ent, Bharti Infratel and Power Grid.
Rupee
Opens: The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at
71.21 per dollar on Thursday versus previous close 71.19.
