Nifty below 11,700, Sensex falls 200 points; Yes Bank plunges 27%



Market Opens: It is flat start for the Indian Indices on April 30. The Sensex is down 60.31 points at 39007.02, while Nifty is down 27.20 points at 11727.50. About 351 shares have advanced, 409 shares declined, and 61 shares are unchanged. 

Maruti Suzuki, Yes Bank, Bharti Infratel, IndusInd Bank, Hero Motocorp, DHFL, L&T, PNB Housing, are among major losers on the indices, while gainers are ONGC, Grasim Industries, Wipro and Tech Mahindra.

Among sectors, Bank Nifty is under pressure with a fall of 1 percent. Auto and metal stocks are also trading lower.

Asian markets trade lower: Shares in Asia fell on Tuesday despite another record high close for the S&P 500, as investors await a US Federal Reserve policy decision for clues of whether it will continue to take a "patient" approach to interest rate policy.

Rupee Opens:The Indian rupee gained in the early trade on Tuesday. It opened higher by 17 paise at 69.84 per dollar on Monday versus 70.01 Friday.

Nifty starts May series around 11,700, Sensex up 100 pts; Axis Bank up 3%

Market opens: It is a firm start for the May F&O series as Nifty opened around 11,700 level.


The Sensex is up 108.56 points at 38839.42, while Nifty is up 47.20 points at 11689. About 393 shares have advanced, 199 shares declined, and 30 shares are unchanged. 

The gainers in the morning session are Axis Bank, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Yes Bank, GAIL, Dr Reddy's Lab, SBI, Tata Steel, Indiabulls Housing, Bharti Infratel and Zee Entertainment, while losers are Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hero Moto, M&M and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Among the sectors, except auto all other sectors are witnessing buying led by metal, pharma, bank, infra, energy, IT and FMCG.

SGX Nifty: Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat start for the broader index in India, a fall of 3 points or 0.03 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,727.50-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee gained in early trade on Friday. It opened higher by 16 paise at 70.09 per dollar versus previous close 70.25.

Nifty opens above 11,600, Sensex trades higher; Essel Propack, Zee Ent in focus


Market opens: Indian indices opened higher on Tuesday with Nifty above 11,600 mark.

The Sensex is up 38.43 points at 38683.61, while Nifty up 20 points or 0.17% at 11614.50. About 386 shares have advanced, 294 shares declined, and 31 shares are unchanged. 

IndusInd Bank, ITC, Cipla, Lupin, Zee Entertainment, Tata Steel, are among major gainers on the indices, while losers are Gail, BPCL, IOC, HPCL, Yes Bank, PC Jewellers, Reliance Infra, Reliance Communications and Indiabulls Housing. 

Among sectors, except energy and IT all other indices are trading in green.

SGX Nifty: Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat opening for the broader index in India, a gain of 9.50 points or 0.08 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,626.50-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 69.62 per dollar on Tuesday versus previous close 69.67.

Sensex opens 200 pts lower, Nifty breaks 11,700; RIL down 2%


Market Opens: It is lower opening for the benchmark indices on Monday with Nifty slipped below 11,700 level.

The Sensex is down 200.46 points or 0.51% at 38939.82, and the Nifty down 74.30 points or 0.63% at 11678.50. About 317 shares have advanced, 591 shares declined, and 53 shares are unchanged. 

Tata Coffee, SpiceJet, Dr Reddy's Lab, HDFC Bank, are among major gainers on the indices, while losers are RIL, Jet Airways, Rel Capital, Rel Infra, Rel Power, Rel Comm, SBI, DHFL and Canara Bank.

SGX Nifty: Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat opening for the broader indices in India, a fall of 35 points or 0.30 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,773-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee opened lower by 39 paise at 69.75 per dollar on Monday versus 69.36 Thursday.

Market Opens: It is a flat to positive start for the truncated week on Monday with Nifty above 11,650 level.


The Sensex is up 70.98 points or 0.18% at 38838.09, and the Nifty up 22.10 points or 0.19% at 11665.60. About 533 shares have advanced, 207 shares declined, and 44 shares are unchanged. 

TCS, Coal India, Tata Motors, Hero Moto, Wockhardt, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, DLF, ITC, GMR Infra, IOC are among major gainers, while losers are Infosys, Gail and ICICI Bank.

All the sectoral indices are trading in green led by metal, auto, infra, FMCG, and energy.

SGX Nifty: Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat opening for the broader index in India, a fall of 6.50 points or 0.06 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,685-level on the Singaporean Exchange.

Market Opens: It is a weak start for the benchmark indices on Wednesday with Nifty slipped below 11,650 level.
 The Sensex is down 60.01 points at 38879.21, while Nifty is down 19.10 points at 11,652.90. About 314 shares have advanced, 431 shares declined, and 38 shares are unchanged. 

Wipro, Yes Bank, Cipla, Infosys, ONGC, RIL, HCL Tech, HUL, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance are among major gainers on the indices, while losers include HDFC, HDFC Bank, Hindalco, Hero Motocorp, Grasim, UltraTech Cement and Gail.

On the sectoral front, auto, infra, metal, pharma and infra are under pressure, while IT space is trading higher.

Asia trading weak: Asian shares stepped back from eight-month highs on Wednesday as the IMF lowered its global growth outlook and as tensions over tariffs between the United States and Europe escalated.

Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee opened flat at 69.28 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close 69.29.

NIIT, HUL, Titan HDFC Bank, Vedanta, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, are among major gainers on the indices, while losers are Indiabulls Housing Finance, HPCL, BPCL, Asian Paints, NIIT Tech, HCL Tech and RIL.

Buzzing: Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals fell 1.5 percent in the early trade on Monday after company received certain observations from USFDA
