Market update: After kissing 40,100 in opening trade, market benchmark Sensex cooled off slightly. Around 09:25 hours IST, the 30-share pack was 125 points, or 0.31 percent, up at 39,956, with 19 stocks in the green. Bharti Airtel, Infosys and L&T were among the top gainers while Tata Motors, ONGC and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the top losers in the Sensex kitty.

The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were 0.52 percent and 0.36 percent up, respectively, around that time.
