Opens: It is a weak start for the Indian indices on
February 18 with Nifty around 12,000 level.
The Sensex is down 160.51 points or
0.39% at 40895.18, and the Nifty down 51.80 points or 0.43% at 11994.00. About
318 shares have advanced, 442 shares declined, and 34 shares are unchanged.
Zee Ent, Coal India, Network 18, Den
Network, Hathway Cable, are among major gainers on the Indices, while losers
are Yes Bank, Hindalco, Vedanta, Tata Motors and IndusInd Bank.
Rupee
Opens: The Indian rupee slipped in the early trade
on Tuesday. It opened lower by 11 paise at 71.40 per dollar on Tuesday versus previous
close 71.29.
