Nifty
opens above 12,250; Nifty Bank hits fresh record high
Market
Opens: It is a positive start for the Indian
indices on December 30 with Nifty above 12,250.
However, Nifty Bank has crossed its
earlier high of 32,502.80 and tested news high of 32,534.45.
The Sensex is up 110.77 points or 0.27%
at 41685.91, and the Nifty up 32.20 points or 0.26% at 12278. About 530 shares
have advanced, 191 shares declined, and 59 shares are unchanged.
M&M, Adani Port, Bharti Airtel, Sun
Pharma, Kotak Mahindra Bank are among major gainers on the Indices, while
losers are Yes Bank Coal India and Zee Entertainment.
Rupee
Opens: The Indian rupee opened flat at 71.35 per
dollar on Monday against Friday's close of 71.35.
