Stock Market Opening Bell,Rupee Update,News & Results Today


Sensex sees a positive start, Nifty back at 10,900; Zee up 4% 

Market opens Equity benchmarks have started the day on a positive note, with the Nifty reclaiming 10,900 in the first few minutes of trade. 

The Sensex is up 72.82 points or 0.20% at 36391.15, and the Nifty up 22.90 points or 0.21% at 10909.70. The market breadth is positive as 289 shares advanced, against a decline of 95 shares, while 30 shares were unchanged. 

Except pharmaceuticals, all other sectoral indices are trading in the green. The Nifty Midcap index is up one-fifth of a percent. 

Vedanta, Yes Bank, and Zee Entertainment, while Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, JSW Steel and Dr Reddy’s have lost the most. 

Rupee opens The Indian rupee opened at 71.06 per dollar on Wednesday versus 71.04 yesterday.

Stock Market Opening Bell,Rupee Update,News & Results Today


Sensex up 145 points, Nifty near 10,780; Infosys, Wipro up 1-2% 
Market Opens Equity benchmarks have begun higher on Tuesday morning, with the Nifty trading near 10,780.

The Sensex is up 145.79 points or 0.41% at 35999.35, while the Nifty is higher by 47.20 points or 0.44% at 10784.80. The market breadth is positive as 265 shares advanced, against a decline of 70 shares, while 20 shares were unchanged.

All sectoral indices traded in the green, with maximum gains seen among banks, energy, and IT names. The Nifty Midcap index is in tandem with benchmarks. 

Hero MotoCorp, Infosys, Wipro and Zee Entertainment are the top gainers, while HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, and GAIL lost the most.

Rupee Update –The Indian rupee opened higher by 16 paise at 70.77 per dollar on Tuesday versus previous close 70.93.

Stock Market Opening Bell,Rupee Update,News & Results Today


Sensex starts on a flat note, Nifty holds 10,800; TCS down 1% post Q3 show
Market opens It is a flat start to the market on Friday morning, with the Nifty holding 10,800-mark. 

The Nifty IT index is down around half a percent, with TCS dragging around 1 percent. Banks, consumption and metals were the other big gainers. The Nifty midcap index is up one-tenth of a percent. 

The Sensex is up 48.99 points or 0.14% at 36155.49, while the Nifty is higher by 9.10 points or 0.08% at 10830.70. The market breadth was positive as 301 shares advanced, against a decline of 115 shares, while 32 shares were unchanged.

Yes Bank and ITC are the top gainers, while TCS, Power Grid, and Bharti Airtel lost the most.

Rupee Update: The Indian rupee opened flat at 70.42 per dollar on Friday versus Thursday's close 70.41.

Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 10-01-2019


Sensex opens flat, Nifty around 10,800; Tata Motors up 1%
 Market opens It is a mildly lower start on the benchmarks on Thursday morning, with the Nifty above 10,800-mark.  

The Sensex is down 49.87 points or 0.14% at 36163.04, and the Nifty down 20.30 points or 0.19% at 10834.90. The market breadth is negative as 312 shares advanced, against a decline of 376 shares, while 37 shares were unchanged.

Consumption and metal names are trading higher, while pain is visible among banks and pharmaceuticals, among others. The Nifty Midcap index is trading flat. 

Tata Motors and NTPC are top gainers, while IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Infratel and HPCL lost the most.  

Rupee Update: The Indian rupee opened flat at at 70.46 per dollar on Thursday against previous close 70.46.

Market Live: Sensex opens flat, Nifty around 10,760; midcaps decline 

Market opens It’s a flat start for the market on Tuesday morning, with the Nifty trading around 10,760. 

A brush of red is visible among majority of sector, while defensives such as IT and pharma are trading in the green. 

The Sensex is up 51.33 points or 0.14% at 35901.49, and the Nifty down 9.60 points or 0.09% at 10762.20. The market breadth is positive as 259 shares advanced, against a decline of 120 shares, while 32 shares were unchanged.

ONGC, Sun Pharma, and Tata Motors are the top gainers, while M&M, Power Grid, and UltraTech Cement lost the most. 

Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee opened lower by 12 paise at 69.80 per dollar on Tuesday against previous close 69.68.
