Market Opens: Indian indices opened higher on July 13 with Nifty above 10850 on the back of positive global cues.

At 09:18 IST, the Sensex was up 291.80 points or 0.80% at 36886.13, and the Nifty was up 86.40 points or 0.80% at 10854.40. About 882 shares have advanced, 343 shares declined, and 80 shares are unchanged.

Indian rupee ended lower on July 10 at 75.20 per dollar, amid selling seen in the domestic equity market.

At 09:16 IST, the Sensex was up 63.67 points or 0.17% at 36550.95, and the Nifty was up 13.30 points or 0.12% at 10777. About 595 shares have advanced, 448 shares declined, and 71 shares are unchanged.

US Markets end higher:

US stocks rose sharply on Monday as a rebound in US services industry activity in June and expectations of a revival in China’s economy boosted optimism, helping investors look past a surge in new coronavirus cases in the United States.
