Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 31-07-2018

Market Live: Nifty slips below 11,300, Sensex down 100 pts; Avenue Super marts up 3% 

After closing at record highs in Monday’s trade the benchmarks indices opened lower on Tuesday, with the Nifty trading below 11,300 mark and Sensex below 37,400. 

The Sensex is down 100.14 points at 37394.26, and the Nifty down 27.30 points at 11292.20. About 459 shares have advanced, 379 shares declined, and 65 shares are unchanged.

Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Lupin, Power Grid, Dr Reddy's Laboratories are up 0.5-1 percent, while HDFC, ICICI Bank, Adani Port, L&T, Tata Steel are among the major losers.

Avenue Supermart gained 3 percent after reporting stellar June quarter numbers.

The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 68.70 per dollar on Tuesday against previous close 68.67.

Stock Market Opening Bell & Market Update for 30-07-2018

Market Live: Sensex at a fresh record high, Nifty hits 11,300 for first time; ICICI Bank, BoB surge

Equity benchmarks have clocked fresh record highs on Monday morning, with the Nifty hitting 11,300 for the first time, while the Sensex is also well above 37,400-mark. 

The Sensex is up 92.84 points or 0.25% at 37429.69, and the Nifty up 21.10 points or 0.19% at 11299.50. The market breadth is positive as 434 shares advanced, against a decline of 123 shares declined, while 55 shares were unchanged.

Banks are the big gainers of this morning, with PSU banks seeing a big surge, led by Bank of Baroda. ICICI Bank is trading strong post its June quarter results as well. 

The midcap index is up around quarter of a percent. Meanwhile, the Bank Nifty has also hit a fresh record high. 

The Indian rupee opened lower by 5 paise at 68.70 per dollar on Monday versus Friday's closing 68.65.

Stock Market News,Result & Opening Bell for 27-07-2018

Market opens at fresh high, Nifty surpasses 11,200 for the first time, ITC leads the charge 

It’s a strong start to the market on Friday morning, with the Sensex and Nifty opening at a fresh record high and crossing 11,200 for the first time. 

The Sensex is up 216.83 points or 0.59% at 37201.47, while the Nifty is up 62.00 points or 0.56% at 11229.30. The market breadth is positive as 342 shares advanced, against a decline of 87 shares, while 44 shares are unchanged.

All sectoral indices are trading in the green, with Nifty Metal and Nifty FMCG leading the gains. Surge in ITC as well as Hindalco are boosting these indices. In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap index is up half a percent. 

Shares of Hindalco are trading 7 percent higher after it announced its acquisition of Aleris post market hours on Thursday. ITC is also trading higher by 3 percent on the back of good June quarter numbers. 

The Indian rupee opened flat at 68.65 per dollar on Friday versus previous close 68.66.

Market Live: Sensex opens at fresh record high, Nifty above 11,100; Asian Paints down 2%

 

It’s a subdued start to the market on this Wednesday morning, a deviation from the pre-opening rate trends where the larger index hit a fresh record high. Meanwhile, the Sensex has hit a fresh record high as well. The Nifty is well above 11,100, but is a good thirty points away from its record high. 

Metals have extended their rally from the previous sessions and a strong trade in the midcaps space is also aiding the market.

The Sensex is up 62.41 points or 0.17% at 36887.51, while the Nifty is up 7.20 points or 0.06% at 11141.50. The market breadth is positive as 389 shares advanced, against a decline of 106 shares, while 60 shares were unchanged.

Shares of Asian Paints are trading over 2.5 percent lower after its June quarter results. Oil marketing companies are taking a hit on the back of rising crude oil price. 

The Indian rupee opened flat at 68.96 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close 68.94.

Market Live: Sensex starts the week on a positive note, Nifty above 11K; UPL rises 3% 

The market has begun the day on a positive note, with the Nifty trading well above 11,000-mark.  

The Sensex is up 70.13 points or 0.19% at 36566.50, while the Nifty is up 28.30 points or 0.26% at 11038.50. The market breadth is narrow as 319 shares advanced, against a decline of 144 shares, while 61 shares are unchanged.

All sectoral indices are trading in the green, with maximum buying seen among FMCG, financials as well as metal stocks.

In the broader markets, the midcap index is up around one-tenth of a percent.

Shares of UPL are trading higher by over 3 percent after the company announced an acquisition on Friday.  

The Indian rupee gained in the early trade on Monday. It has opened higher by 14 paise at 68.70 per dollar versus previous close 68.84.

 Equity benchmarks have begun the day on a positive note, with the Sensex gaining over 100 points, while the Nifty has reclaimed 11,000 in the opening tick. 

The Sensex is up 106.61 points or 0.29% at 36480.05, while the Nifty is up 24.40 points or 0.22% at 11004.90. 

The market breadth is positive as 261 shares advanced, against a decline of 105 shares, while 40 shares are unchanged.

All sectoral indices are trading in the green, with maximum gains seen among metals, and automobiles. Midcaps, meanwhile, are trading absolutely flat. 

The Indian rupee slipped in the early trade on Thursday. It has opened lower by 8 paise at 68.70 per dollar versus 68.62 yesterday.
